Italian minister for Equal Rights was dismissed from his post just a day after the cabinet was sworn in a new government. The cause is the minister commented on the gay slant.
Group of gay-rights groups protested the statement of Minister of Italy Michaela Biancofiore, a politician of the People of Freedom Party (PDL) leader Silvio Berlusconi.
Michaela said, actually inviting homosexual groups themselves discriminated against them due to isolate themselves.
"I'd love to see a group of gay socializing and not isolate yourself. Said something about the murder of Italian women. They do is defend yourself," said Michaela to a number of Italian media.
Group of homosexual rights groups assess comments Michaela is someone who homophobic comments.
The comments were reportedly disappointing new Italian Prime Minister, Enrico Letta. Moreover, before he had asked the cabinet members to keep their comments in public and always work as a team.
On many occasions, Michaela Biancofiore said he opposes gay marriage, but supports "civil union" to protect gay couples. As a result of his comments, Michaela moved to the ministry of public service.
