Two Bombs Explode Near the Office of Political Parties in Karachi, 3 Killed
At least three people were killed and 35 others injured when two bombs exploded near the office party Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Karachi on Saturday (04/05/2013) night.
Karachi police officer Saleem Akhtar Siddiqui said the two bombs went off within an interval of 20 minutes near the office party MQM in Azizabad middle-class residential area.
Siddiqui added no politician or party office MQM workers among the dead.
"We can confirm three people were killed and 35 others wounded by the bomb. Wounded was rushed to various hospitals," said Secretary of Health Department Sindh Province, Suresh Kumar.
An MQM spokesman, Qamar Mansoor said, in fact according to a plan of campaign to be held in an area that the bomb attack.
"Now the campaign was delayed and we instituted a day of mourning," said Mansoor.
On 11 May Pakistan will hold elections to replace the current government has been in power for five years.
